Guided Tour By The ‘Open Care Center For The Elderly’ of Metagitsi

Older men and women of Metagitsi village, are willing with great excitement to guide one group of 15 primary school students and their companions, to a traditional stone-built wood oven! There they will cook, bake and taste warm cookies following a secret local recipe!

Later on, they will take you to the historical Temple ‘Metamorphosis of the Saviour’ which is located out of the village and there you will enjoy the amazing panoramic view of the sea gulf between the 2 peninsulas (legs) of Chalkidiki: Mount Athos and Sithonia.

People of the Care centre will surprise you with culinary preparations and they will sing songs for you with their choir!

Joining this tour, you will experience the hospitality of the villagers, and enjoy various homemade treats at the main square of the village.

This experience will be unforgettable. Meeting pure and simple people of the village full of energy and knowledge to share with you!
