Pentofanaro

Pentofanaro is one of the most iconic and recognizable meeting points in the heart of Corfu’s Old Town, located at the southern edge of the historic Spianada Square. It features an ornate lamppost with five lanterns that stands at the beginning of the famous Liston promenade, surrounded by the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Venetian buildings and traditional cafes. Due to its central position between the city center and the Old Fortress, it is the place where the social pulse of the island beats, serving as the ideal landmark to begin a tour through the narrow alleys (“kantounia”) and the historic sights of Corfu.
