Experiential Workshop “Me and My Media”

(20 students – High School – 1.5 hours Responsible: Dimitris Papacharalambous)

This workshop focuses on shaping the image of the self, body, and personality through interaction with the media and social networking. We will explore how the media influence perceptions of appearance, behavior, and personal expression, focusing on stereotypes, behavioral norms, and idols projected by mass culture. Through experiential exercises and the use of audiovisual digital tools, students will explore the power of their personal expression in the media and develop critical thinking about the images and messages they receive. They will learn to distinguish between mediated images and real identity, gaining awareness of the truth behind representations, and will explore ways of expression through technology.

This workshop aims to deepen students’ understanding of media influence and empower them to express themselves authentically in a world dominated by media imagery.
