Elementary, middle, and high school students take their place at the kitchen counters and do their best to create a unique Halkidiki recipe, full of the aroma and flavor of our place! In groups of five people, equipped with a heating element, a pot, and the freshest local ingredients, the children are invited to follow the instructions of our well-known guests. We have the joy and honor of having Vasilis Papaggelos and Eleni Loukovitou with us.
The little cooks will be inspired by the creativity and passion of the chefs, as they guide them with valuable secrets and advice. At the end, the two chefs will taste the creations of each team, highlighting the best “masters” of the day! The winning team will win pins with the festival logo, while all participants will take with them the joy of collaboration, knowledge and creation! A workshop full of Halkidiki aromas that will remain unforgettable, proving that talent and collaboration are always rewarded!
A few words about Vassilis Papagelos
Vasilis is originally from Nikiti, Halkidiki, and has been a chef in Greece and abroad for 25 years. After a long career in the field of cooking in large restaurants and hotels, he created his own business as he became the owner and founder of the well-known company UMAMI FERMENTATION ART with fermented foods using Japanese techniques such as Shoyu and Miso from organic legumes and nuts.
A few words about Eleni Loukoviti
Eleni, who comes from a family of bakers in Nikiti, Halkidiki, has been involved in the confectionery sector for 25 years. After graduating from school, she worked in large pastry shops and hotels in the Cyclades, as well as for many years in Porto Carras as a pastry chef. She then created her own business, the “Pralina” pastry shop, where she produces only handmade products, mostly of traditional origin.
